Made in Bologna, Italy since 1885, this classic amaro with its 40 botanicals epitomises the Italian liquor tradition. Amaro Montenegro which manages to be both sweet and bitter at the same time is a complex liqueur that adds more dimension to any cocktail or enjoyed near or over ice.

It was a Summer’s evening in Palermo, Sicily, and Rob had married into a Sicilian family just a few hours ago. At the reception Rob was handed a precious heirloom by the in-laws; the treasured family recipe for their Amaro. He was sworn to lifelong secrecy and vowed only to pass the recipe onto his first born children. Obviously, he promptly broke that vow by telling his brother, Jim 5 minutes later.

Since then, they have taken great care to produce the Asterley Brothers' Dispense Amaro, Estate English Vermouth and Schofield's Dry Vermouth.

 

In Gingin. Jim was born a gin guy. Gin was always the drink for Jim. And as he sipped on his spirit of choice, Jim began to silently yearn for the right time and place to quit his day job and make the world’s best gin.

Less than an hour from where he was born, Jim stumbled across the town of Gingin. A town aptly named, but also uniquely credentialed to make the world’s best gin. A food bowl brimming with local botanicals. A place where pristine waters meet. 

Gingin is the culmination of a 30-year old dream to make the perfect gin. Born in Australia, this elegant gin has deep juniper notes and a citrus finish with a bergamot and elderflower nose. 

  

Old Young’s James Young won Australian Champion Distiller 2017 and Champion Vodka 2016 and 2017 at the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards, while their pavlova vodka took out Best International Vodka at the American Distilling Institute Craft Spirits Awards.

James attributes this success to having a clear philosophy when it comes to vodka and gin. While he holds in high regard the importance of creating new and innovative spirits, it must never fall into the trap of creating novelty products.

James says this philosophy serves him well even with his traditional Pure No. 1 Vodka and his gins. For the vodka he uses local Swan Valley grapes which he blends with a traditional sugar-cane base, and with his gin it is all about the flavour and staying true to the great traditions of London Dry Gin while adding a subtle twist.

 

 

Ron Colón Salvadoreño dark aged rum is a delicious blend of 70% 6-year-old column-stilled Salvadoran rum produced by Licorera Cihuatán distillery; 15% unaged pot-stilled Jamaican rum produced by Worthy Park, Hampden, and Monymusk distilleries; and 15% 3-year-old Jamaican pot-stilled rum produced by Worthy Park estate.

 

Rosso Antico is a masterful blend of select white wines and 33 botanicals which undergo the classic extraction methods of blending and boiling.

Three species of Wormwood - Absinthium, Pontica and Vulgaris – endow the liquid with its characteristic personality and balanced level of pleasant bitterness. From lesser-known distilleries, each of the Rum and Cane releases is limited to just one barrel. To preserve the character of these rums, no caramel colouring is added, neither are they chill-filtered. A marriage of rums from different distilleries from one region, capturing the vibrancy, style, and terroir of that area. The single barrel range takes individual barrels of rum from uncommon distilleries or islands, bottled only when they reach optimum maturity, perfectly reflecting the distillery’s style.
